The main purposes and goals of the AIYTF ‘THE RUSSIAN CLASSICS FESTIVAL – Lobnya’ are to make young people join dramatic art and to make their interest in dramatic art and in Russian classical literature more active. The concomitant aims are to find new dramatic forms and expressiveness to support creative search which have experimental orientation to establish creative and informational exchange among the participants of the festival to press towards interregional and international cooperation The Commission of the Russian Theatre Workers Union on critics and theatre science has included the ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL YOUTH THEATRE FESTIVAL ‘THE RUSSIAN CLASSICS’ in the program of the main creative action of the Russian Theatre Workers Union and the Russian Centers International Union and Associations. The Russian Theatre Workers Union plays an active roles in playbill creating and also provide creative organizational and methodic support during the festival and the final conference. CONDITIONS AND ORDER OF ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL YOUTH THEATRE FESTIVAL ‘THE RUSSIAN CLASSICS – LOBNYA’ Those who wants to participate in the festival should hand in an application concerning the intention in the organizational committee of the annual international youth theatre festival ‘THE RUSSIAN CLASSICS – Lobnya’ till the fifth of March of the year providing the video tape of the play. When the play is included in the program of the annual international youth theatre festival ‘the chamber stage – lobnya’ under the recommendation of the critics and specialist in drama study who can make the conclusion concerning the expediency of the play including in to the festival playbill, they will have to provide posters, programs, critical opinions and some photos of the play scenes in additional. Musical, dramatic, professional and youth studio collectives with different forms of ownership can participate in the festival if they have Russian classical plays in their repertoire. It doesn’t matter when the play was staged. The participants from the Russian distinct regions and from abroad are provided with residence and food on the festival but you should have no more than 10 people in the collective. The participants should pay their tickets themselves. The Russian Classic Lobnya festival – 2004 is from the 28 of April to 26 of May 2004. There are 20 plays of the youth studio collectives and up to 10-11 plays of the professional theaters in the festival playbill every year.
